It's as good as new and working beautifully! (My camera if you're wondering!)
This was a pretty great weekend. My parents took Dug and I out on the boat to see the Tall Ships! You must go see DGAnder's gallery for a fantastic view of them.
We motored over to them and of course the sails weren't up because they were docked and giving tours to thousands of tourists that came from all over the country to see them. Needless to say, Duluth was a crazy mass of people so Dug and I escaped to Wisconsin to have some relaxation at the beach and take photos.
Once we got to Wisconsin Point and set up our blanket and ate our Culver's
some people came down the path and sat near us. A dad on a trip with his son from Iowa. We were right near the lighthouse so naturally the boy wanted to go see it, but it is a very tricky hike to get out to it...it's basically boulder hopping and keeping fingers crossed that you won't fall into one of the crevasses. So...Dug volunteered to take his boy on the hike because the dad has really bad arthritis. They had a lot of fun and it was great to see Dug keeping up with a nine year old. It was also a wonderful opportunity to take photos...which of course I did.
We all exchanged emails before they left and I will promptly be sending them the photos.
After we were done shooting there we decided to put the camera away and drive down to another spot away from the rocks and swim. We were in the water for at least two hours...jumping the waves and feeling like teenagers again!
I would have to say this is one of thee best weekends I've had in a very long time.
