Duggles proposed and we're getting hitched!
We're thinking next August, next to our Superior Lake. It couldn't be more fitting.
I really want to say that Dug is the kindest, most loving and giving man that I have ever known and there are no words to describe how it feels to know we'll spend our lives together. We just "get" each other and I never thought I would find that in someone, or rather, I never thought someone would be able to relate to me the way he does.
When we reunited 2 years and 4 months ago (Yeah I keep track
) after not seeing each other for 7 years, neither one of us could have known what was ahead. Of course, lots of crazy fun, photography, new experiences and then...Oh shit, here comes the drama...
Medical "things", well, they can scare away a lot of people. People don't know what to say to you, or they think that is all they should talk about with you, some people suddenly aren't around as much and others just don't care.
Dug is the kind of guy that holds your feet for an hour and a half because that's all that is sticking out of the MRI and you're claustrophobic. When the pain is making you cry his focus is to get you to laugh, and when things get really scary, he does his homework and finds out the facts so we can really discuss things with out me needing to explain them. He goes above and beyond what most people would ever do because that's just who he is and he can't be any other way...
He's been to hell and back with me in these last two years and he never once thought of taking the easy way out and saying, "Sayonara".
I'm sharing all of this here because I want you all to know how happy I am and how wonderful life can be even when life isn't so wonderful.
